HOWDY!

Now that Mom isn't gonna start off her emails like that, someone has to right?

Well well well.... here we are again! This week was a shorter one than usual with getting to our area late last week, but it was a good one! Elder Aviles and I are doing really good together... he's brand new, and he's still got a lot to learn, but he's a quick learner and reminds me a lot of when I trained Elder Delgado a little over a year ago. haha they are SO similar it's ridiculous... So that's why I think it wasn't a coincidence that I was paired with him. But we're doing great! We got lost a few times in our area this week, but I feel like we've pretty much learned it now.

It is AMAZING to see how the Lord is hastening his work. There were no missionaries in this area for the last 4 and a half months, and the members were dying to get missionaries in the ward again. We show up, and everyone starts passing out references and they all want to accompany us to go and visit people and we already have a couple of baptisms lined up for the upcoming month or so! Haha I've really been enjoying myself because it seems like everything is just falling into our laps!! hahaha. Like, for example, on Saturday we had the idea to visit a few different people, like old investigators and less actives and stuff like that, but they ended up not being there, but almost at every house that we went to, someone else called out to us and wanted to talk to us. Neighbors, family members of neighbors, random people on the streets.... haha it seemed like everyone was contacting us. It was great... my companion was amazed and was like, "Wow, missionary work is so easy!" hahah... I'm sure we'll get a reality check here soon but for now, we're enjoying ourselves. :)

I'm feeling good healthwise... Haven't had any annoyances or anything. I've been feeling normal. I try to take it easy, like I don't do exercise in the mornings and stuff, and I'm not drinking any soda. So I've been feeling good. For what it's worth.

I really wish I could send you all photos of me and my new companion, but I left my camera in the mission offices... so I've gotta wait a few days to be able to pick it up.

Make someone's day today! Be an answer to someone's prayer. Love you all dearly!!

HOWDY!

Every week that I open an email from Mom, that's the headline that I read, so I thought I'd make it a two way deal. Sounds like things are going well! I'm really glad to hear that! Cameron wrote me, and he was telling me how much he enjoys teaching the gospel and preparing himself for a misison. I thought, wow... I wonder how different my mission would have been if I could have learned to love mission prep. Haha I love love love my mission--don't get me wrong, but I think it could have made a difference for me. I'm proud of you, Cam.

Mom, I'm feelin well. REALLY. haha I really haven't had any pain lately. I've been feeling good. My question is, what does the doctor over there think, because the doctor here that sent that diagnosis letter or whatever said that I would need some sort of surgery... did the doctor say that that surgery would be necessary? But don't worry about me mom... everything is going good and I will tell you if I start to feel bad.

I'm writing on Wednesday because we had transfers this week! They finally took me out of my last area. I absolutely loved that place, but I think that I was ready for a change. 6 months in one area for me was plenty. There were a lot of people that greatly influenced my life and I will forever be grateful to them. But now, I am training again. I'm training a Puerto Rican named Elder Aviles. He is a stud, and he speaks perfect English which is kinda fun! haha he loves to speak to me in English and not in Spanish. . I'm excited, he's excited... it's gonna be a good change.

I can't believe this is going to be my last area. I hope to be able to make the most of it. Thank you for all the prayers and support. I love you guys with all my heart.

Heyy FAMMM

Ha wow--I can't believe that Sam is already home! Sooo nuts! He really doesn't look any different! But that's so awesome to hear that he did well in his homecoming. I'm looking forward to seeing him and catching up on old times! haha.

We really had a good week this week. I've grown to love the people from these two wards soo much over the time that I've been here. We've still got another week until transfers, but I'm gonna miss these people like crazy. I honestly think that one of the greatest blessings of my mission has been to make relationships with such special people like those that we serve. For me that includes investigators, members, non members, and other missionaries. To be able to share the joy of the gospel with those people is one of the greatest blessings of being a missionary. And like Sam said, being angels to them as they are to us.

About a week and a half ago, we found a new family to teach! They were a reference from another family here in the ward. It's been a very interesting experience with them so far. We found them, and taught the mom, the dad, and the daughter. Later that same week, we met the daughter-in-law, too. The father and his son, who we hadn't really met up to that point in time, work in the oil business. They're gone 20 days and are here 10 days. So the father left to work, and the son was already working when we started to teach this family. But out of nowhere, the son had an accident at work and had to come home to recuperate. In that same weekend that he came home, he was able to attend church with his wife and his sister! We told him that it was no coincidence that God had allowed him to be at home to attend church with his sister and his wife. They are a great family and we are super stoked to continue teaching them!!

I'm really glad to hear that everything is going well back home. I'm doing absolutely fantastic :) Thank you thank you thank you for all the prayers and the love and support. I couldn't do without it. LOVE YOU ALL

¡Que hubole!

Well hey everybody! Wow, exciting things going on these days! So if Cam puts in his papers in two months, he would be getting his call like right around the time that I get home, right? Wow that's pretty incredible.... So much is going on!!  I literally can't believe that Sam is already home! Good night that is crazy.... I  haven't kept in touch with him for about the last year, so when you see him will you tell him to write me please?

Well well well... this week flew by! Elder Hernandez and I are doing great! He's been an awesome companion! It seems like we've been together forever now... ha and it has been a while, like 4 months! But we enjoy working together and we've seen many incredible things together. I'm not gonna lie, I'm not too used to being in an area for so long, and so it's been kinda rough for me to think of new things to do with the members and to find new investigators and stuff. But, with that said, we had the mission counsel meeting this week and they gave us a whole bunch of "new" ideas of things to do. But they aren't really new, many of them are just the basic things that we should already be doing but that sometimes we overlook. So I know that my time here in this area is really short, only a couple more weeks, but I think we've got some good work we've got to get done.

We had a great lesson with Betty this week. It was very spiritual, and she FINALLY committed to be baptized!! It seems likes she's finally made the decision to be baptized the 14th of March, right before I leave the area! We are hoping and praying more than ever that she follows through with this decision, although it does seem that she is more decided and definitely ready to take the next step. Please, keep her in your prayers!!

I'm doing great health-wise. Zero problems lately! The kidney stones haven't bothered me at all, and I'm feeling good! Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your prayers. I love you guys so much!! Good luck this week!

HOLA

This week was good. I couldn't believe how fast it went by. We had interviews with President this week on Tuesday. It was good, I just had a quick simple interview with him, haha. But we got some cool news here, they're gonna be playing Meet the Mormons here in Mexico! I think like 70 movie theaters over the whole country will be playing the movie. The premier is this Friday. (Obviously, we're not going) But President put on the movie for us! It was awesome, I really liked it. I think it's gonna be great for the community and a lot of people are gonna be interested in knowing more about us.

We went on divisions a few times this week. Once with the assistants, and once with one of the District leaders here in the zone. They both went really well. I enjoyed them. Elder Bartholomew and I had fun together, it was one of those days where it just seemed like everyone was contacting US! Ha it was kinda weird, but occasionally it happens.

Our investigators are doing well. Rosa, not so well. She keeps coming to church and all, but she's really shying away from making a decision on getting baptized or not. Betty told us this week that she's about 97% sure about her decision to be baptized, but she wants to be 100%. We're soooooo close with her. One of our other investigators, a nine year old kid named Luis got baptized on Saturday. He was so pumped!  It was a good experience. Betty went, and I think she liked it as well. All in all, it was a good week. I'm trying to send pictures... but the computer doesn't really want me to.

Congrats, Mom, on your primary program and job review thing and stuff! :) Love you all.
