Hey Hey Hey!

Mom, since you didn't write me very much this week, I'm not gonna write you very much either. Nah I'm just kidding.... I'll just use that as an excuse because I don't have much to write about either. Also, forgive me, the USB port on my computer doesn't work so I won't be sending any pictures today, even though I've got some pretty sweet ones to send. What's a guy gotta do to find a decent USB port these days.

I hope everyone is doing well!! Safe travels to Lindsey back to Massachusetts. We are officially no longer in a threesome. They sent Elder Smith to a different area with another missionary who had special changes with his companion. It was on Friday, we were just in the house studying as a companionship, I believe, when we received a call from the assistants. "Is Elder Smith there?" they asked me. And I was like... great. I totally know what this is for. Ha.  So right then and there he got his stuff ready and we headed straight out to the mission offices. We were all pretty sad. We were having a great time together with him in our companionship. But he's in a better place now. hahaa.

This week we were couped up in house almost all week. Elder Hernandez's cold started to turn into bronchitis, so we had to rest from tuesday until Sunday, basically, with a few hours of work here and there. It was a little boring honestly.... we just stayed home and read! And played UNO (thank you, mom.... thank you. That game really saved us). But, the good news is that Elder Hernandez is doing well now. Seems to have overcome his sickness. So this week we should be able to work like normal! I don't really have any experiences to share with you all this week... I read like the whole New Testament.... that was pretty much my big achievement of the week.

Well family of mine that I love very much, I hope you all have a great week and that all of your dreams come true. Much love coming at all of you from Mexico! I thank you for your prayers!!

YO

I've gotta start out by saying, Mom, that's kind of a weird coincidence that you mentioned about sharing the story of Mary and Martha in your Primary calling. This week there was a Relief Society activity in one of our wards, and they asked us to go and share a thought. They were there learning how to cook and sew and whatever, so we shared with them that same story about Mary and Martha. Just wanted to let you know....

ANYways what's goin on everyone! Woaahh congrats congrats to Cam for getting the call from the golf coach from BYU Hawaii! I'm so proud of him! That'll be way sick. Hope everything turns out good! I've heard of Elder Skow... never met him. But one of these days I'm sure I'll run into him! Ha I can't believe Nick is already home! Again! Send him my best. We usually keep in touch but still.

We had a pretty cool week this week! It went by wayyy fast. But we had a couple of memorable experiences. We have this one investigator, I think I told you about her on Christmas, her name is Betty. She's been progressing really well, doing everything from reading to praying to going to church. But she's been afraid to accept a baptismal date. So, we decided to teach her about the temple this week, and we got this idea to take her to the temple and teach her there. What better visual aid than the temple itself right? So we went, and let me tell ya, it was an unforgettable experience. I've had few experiences as spiritual as that one in my life. We were able to go inside and teach her in the waiting room, and there was such a calm, peaceful spirit there. We didn´t hardly do or teach much, we basically just sat back and let the spirit take over. We got to the point where she said, trying to describe how she felt, "I feel an incredible peace. Its... indescribable. I've never felt anything like it before." At that moment, we extended to her the baptismal invitation, and put a goal for the 31st of Jan.  And she accepted! She finally accepted! Ahh man it was awesome. I'm so thankful for the temple, and for the place of peace and refuge that it is, and I know that it is the Lord´s house, and that His spirit resides there.

Elder Hernandez got a little sick this week... He came down with the cold. Elder Smith and I have, for the moment, not caught anything. Fingers crossed for this week. But we're doing excellently well. Much love coming to all of you from Mexico! Shout out to my mission president's wife, Sister Jordan, because I know she reads my blog sometimes! :) Catch you all next week!

Hey Hey Hey!!

How's it going everybody!! I'm writing on Tuesday because we decided to go to the temple as a zone today. So we had to change our P-day from yesterday to today. But here I am, doin well and livin it up! haha. We had a good time at the temple today as a zone. For me, it's special being a missionary and being able to go the temple. A place where I can go to receive more revelation and feel the spirit even stronger than usual.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! I tried to tell as few people as possible about my birthday, so there weren't any festivities or anything like that. However, I did buy a new camera with the money that you guys and other family member sent me. Thanks a bunch! (I know it's like my 4th camera in the mission but I think this one will last for Cam, too, plus it wasn't very expensive). But I really appreciate it. My teenage years are over. That's kinda weird to think.... It's kinda funny tho, because people here ask me how old I am all the time, and I always tell them to guess. They almost always say like 25 or 26... haha so at least I can tell them now that I'm in my 20's ;)

This week was fun! Not for New Year's or anything... honestly we didn't do much. It gets a little crazy here around new year's eve and new year's day so for safety reasons we go home a little early and, ya! Literally impossible to sleep though... Fireworks here are crazy. They're super cheap and there are like no restrictions on them so everyone goes way overboard on the fireworks ALL NIGHT LONG. But it's starting to calm down now :)

I think a little while ago I told you all about Rosa, one of our investigators that was progressing. She stopped going to church about a month and a half ago, and for about the same amount of time, we stopped seeing her. But, Sunday, basically out of the blue, she showed up to church! We were stoked! She seemed excited again! And we had no idea why! haha. But we went by to visit her yesterday and we asked her why she had decided to go to church again. She said, "Do you remember what you told me about asking and praying to know if it was true? Well, I did that. And I know it's true."  We were like... WHATTTT!!! Totally caught me off gaurd but I'm so thankful for that little seed that was planted in her heart that was able to sprout and grow to the point of knowing the truth of this gospel! It was an awesome experience. We're hoping she gets baptized within the next month or so!

I love you, family. Thanks for all the love and support you give me. I hope you all have a fantastic week!!
